Windscreen chip repair, done on site
A stone chip repair fills the damage with resin, restores strength and stops it running into a crack. It takes about half an hour and you can drive away straight after.
The short answer
Most chips about twenty-cent-coin size or smaller, clear of the edge and the driver's line of sight, can be repaired on site in around 30 minutes. Repairing early is cheaper than a replacement and keeps your original windscreen.

How the repair works
- Clean the chip and remove loose glass.
- Mount the repair tool over the damage.
- Inject resin under vacuum and pressure.
- Cure with UV light and polish the surface.

Can my chip be repaired, or does the windscreen need replacing?
As a rough guide, a small chip — about the size of a twenty-cent coin or smaller — that isn't on the edge of the glass or directly in the driver's line of sight can often be repaired. Long cracks, edge damage and smashed glass need a replacement. Send a photo and we'll tell you which.
